Be Assertive and Earn More

A recent American study has found that the people who are more assertive in their behaviour within the workplace will earn eighteen percent more in salary than the less assertive employee.

Assertiveness is not being aggressive or demanding, it is about having a strong belief in yourself and your abilities. And it is also about being confident enough to say no to your boss and telling them that you deserve more.

Earning more in today’s business world means that you have to use good negotiation skills and assertively stand up for what you deserve. Being nice will make you a lot of friends at work, but it will not increase your earning potential.
