What Is An Entrepreneur?

An entrepreneur is an enterprising businessman or woman, who is the owner of an independent business.

Entrepreneurs are business leaders, people who take risks and invest to produce goods and services in order to make a profit.

The most essential qualities that should be exhibited by an entrepreneur are leadership, management ability, and team building. An entrepreneur is known for being creative, self motivated, and visionary.

An entrepreneur is a person who has the ability to recognise clearly the opportunities of benefit to an enterprise, and has the will and capacity to undertake appropriate innovative action.

An entrepreneur is an individual who will start a new business. Venture capital is often used to finance the start up costs in return for an equity share. Once the business is established, an entrepreneur may choose to raise additional capital by selling equity shares to the public through an initial public offering.

An entrepreneur will begin and manage a new venture, which can be based on a totally new idea, a new way of doing something, a new location, or attempting something no one else has done before.

An entrepreneur recognizes the desires that people have and then will bring together the appropriate natural resources, labour, and capital to meet these desires.

An entrepreneur is an innovator of business enterprise who recognizes opportunities to introduce a new product, a new process or an improved organization, and who raises the necessary money, assembles all the factors for production and organizes an operation to exploit the new opportunity.

All of us experience highs and lows in our business, but entrepreneurs expect to succeed over the long run. For entrepreneurs, success is the only option.

Every great entrepreneur has five key attributes, desire, positive attitude, commitment, patience, persistence, that set them aside from their competition and that ensure they will succeed where others fail.

These five personal qualities will all reflect upon the entrepreneur’s business and they will mean the entrepreneur grows and develops every area of their own personal expertise to become not only the strategic thinker behind the business, but the strategic manager poised to lead the company forward to achieve even greater success.
