Business Leaders Wisdom

During my business life I have had many opportunities to spend a considerable amount of time in other business leaders companies.

And whilst there I have had the good fortune to attend many business conferences, boardroom discussions, sales team meetings and one to one conversations.

I have listened to a lot of different business leaders expressing their views, making comments and generally voicing their opinions.

But, only a few of them were expressing words, that I would class as true words of wisdom, the rest expressed words that we all commonly hear in our everyday business lives.

The following is a collection of some of the business leader expressions that for me have defined their wisdom:

This business leader expressed these wise words to his team of people, whom he felt were competent enough to be the problem solvers.

‘Don’t come to me with the problems that you have, as your business leader, I expect you to be coming to me, with the right solutions to the problems’.

These wise words were expressed by the CEO of a company, to his employees, suppliers and vendors at a business conference.

‘Attitude is a small thing, but it can make a very big difference in our conversations and business dealings’.

The next two expressions of wise words came from the same business leader, who felt that he was constantly being provided with lots of trivial information from his management team.

‘I am intelligent and have a very good memory, so please, don’t tell me something I already know; tell me something that I don’t know’.

‘My door is always open, but only come in if you have something that is really worth saying’.

And finally these few words of wisdom came from a business leader, addressing his peers at a business convention, who obviously did not think that anything within our business lives should be seen as ever being insurmountable.

‘If you are trying to do something to better your business and someone tells you no, just go around them until you find someone who tells you yes’.
